I’m a highly experienced Expert Witness in Internet Trade Secrets litigation.
I’ve been involved in the online world since 1984, and on the Internet since 1993 (when I wrote the Complete Idiot’s Guide to the Internet). I’ve worked in a wide range of Internet technologies. For instance, I’ve been involved in SEO since 1998 or 1999 (I wrote the best selling Search Engine Optimization for Dummies in 2003, and 6 more editions since then, the most recent late in 2019; it’s now called SEO for Dummies).
I’ve worked in Pay Per Click advertising, banner advertising, Web development (I first began working in Web development and with HTML in 1994, wrote several books on the subject, and ran a department of 60+ Web-development and Web-hosting staff), Web hosting, and more.
As for my Internet Trade Secrets Expert Witness services, I’ve worked on various cases over the years, such as:

Not only have I served as a Internet Trade Secrets Expert Witness, but I’ve provided expert testimony in scores of cases related to digital marketing and Internet technology; cases involving patents, trademarks, contract disputes, copyright infringement, unfair business practices, online defamation, and more… cases with some element related to SEO, Web development, PPC advertising, social media, and so on.
I’m a best-selling technology author, ecommerce consultant, and trainer. I’ve provided ecommerce consulting services to Amazon, Zillow, Avvo, Honey Baked Ham, Dunn & Bradstreet, and literally hundreds of small- and medium-size businesses. I’ve also been providing expert witness testimony and litigation support to law firms since first hired by Microsoft in 1996 to work in a patent case related to the use of sound in browsers.
